The Competence Center Multimedia Analysis and Data Mining (MADM) of the DFKI conducts innovative research in the following areas:

• Image and Video Analysis
• Document Image Analysis
• Data Mining

Our research is based on the application of statistical machine learning and image processing algorithms and ranges from basic application-oriented research to industrial contract research and consulting services. All our work is funded through public national and European research grants and direct industrial contracts.
