Christian Kofler

Christian Kofler Christian Kofler is a Software Engineer at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) GmbH since 2005 and is working in the Competence Center Multimedia Analysis and Data Mining (MADM) in Kaiserslautern. With over 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, he coordinates the development of the central software components for the Competence Center. Besides planning and implementing software for development projects, he is working on the integration of scientific results into demonstrators and prototypes. His main research interests are agile software engineering, scalable software architecture, content-based image and video search, and data mining.

Mr. Kofler holds a diploma in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences in Worms. During his studies from 2001 to 2005 he worked as research assistant at the associated Center for Technology Transfer and Telecommunications (ZTT). In his diploma thesis, he developed a distributed software system for configuring and controlling sensor hardware for a large-scale experiment (ALICE) at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland. The system has been further developed at ZTT and is now used in the field.
